Karolina Zurawicz, LMHC

Description
Practitioner Name: Karolina Zurawicz
I like to think of therapy from a Body-Mind-Spirit perspective, a holistic approach that invites all our parts into the healing process, creating opportunities for change and growth. I believe therapy is a way for individuals to connect and access their own wisdom to make the changes for a life that is most inspiring and fulfilling. I combine elements of Western psychotherapy, Neuroscience and Eastern traditions. I draw from 20+ years of meditation, yoga, spirituality, and coaching background as well as extensive training in traditional and psychosensory psychotherapy: IFS, EMDR, Brainspotting, Mindfulness, Havening Technique, Family Systems, CBT.
Before beginning to work on processing traumatic experiences, first I spend time helping clients build coping skills and grounding techniques. I will also help them better understand how past experiences have affected who they are today and why certain things trigger their symptoms. I work adjusting the approach and pace to each client, and their make-up.
I invite people to explore areas that may be affecting them and make a transition from where they are, to where they would like to be. We will identify potential areas of growth and ways to measure your progress. My style is a blend of compassion, kindness, acceptance and authenticity, and I am direct and engaging, action-oriented and solution-focused.
