Erin Swan, MSW/LICSW

You’re ready to figure out how to feel better. Something feels off or “not right” and maybe it’s difficult to name. Or maybe you know exactly what’s wrong and just need some help figuring out what to do with it. Nobody else can do this for you, but therapy can give you the tools and resources to make lasting changes for yourself.

Here’s my promise to you: I will sit with you and together we will explore what you need (psst….only you can really know this), and we will strive to get you there together.

I can help you learn to take better care of yourself and to see yourself through more loving and compassionate eyes.

Yonca McCabe, MC, CPC, LPC- Sage Counseling

I am a certified Brainspotting therapist.

Whether you are seeking help to heal from trauma or overcome creative obstacles, healing and change can be a vulnerable process. I take my role in supporting you seriously because I understand how important it is to have an attuned support system to navigate the vulnerabilities that may emerge along the way.

Trauma work is an intricate process that requires consistency, safety, and patience. I believe trauma impacts each person differently. I also believe unresolved trauma and stress response stored in the body tends to operate in the shadow of our psyche, often causing us to function in a state of dissociative reaction rather than conscious response, and thus we may feel a sense of lack of control in our lives at times. We may have had to make sense of our experiences best we could with the resources that were available at the time. Also, unresolved stress response in the body or traumas may interfere with our capacity to be creative or find creative solutions to problems in our lives because our bodies may be stuck in a survival loop.

In therapy, I’ll help you to learn about and restore your nervous system with education, gentle practices, as we gently process the activation in the body while building on the resources by using body-mind modalities at a pace that you feel comfortable. My philosophy is about empowering you, offering tools that help you become attuned to the wisdom of your body, and releasing blockages that keep you stuck in a survival loop.

I look forward to working with you.
