Jennifer Zwarich, LCSW-C
I’m a licensed clinical social worker with over two decades of experience, and my heart has always been drawn to the people who’ve had to work hardest just to feel safe in their own skin. My practice, Winding Road Counseling, is rooted in complex trauma work. Increasingly, my focus is on finding the right tools to go where talk therapy alone can’t always reach.
I completed Brainspotting Phase 1, 2 and 3 trainings and have continued deepening my practice through an eight-month Parts Work Mastermind and a five-day intensive in Akumal, Mexico. This is all as part of my ongoing path toward full certification. I approach this work as a learner, not an authority, and I believe the best therapeutic relationships are built on curiosity, collaboration, and genuine presence.
I specialize in working with neurodivergent and queer clients navigating complex trauma. I’m committed to creating a space that’s truly affirming, not just in language, but in practice. My clinical approach is neuro-affirming at its core, and I’m particularly interested in how Brainspotting supports processing that honors the full complexity of how people experience and store their histories.
I’m based in Ellicott City, Maryland, and see clients in Maryland and Virginia.
