Please consider including RMBI in your charitable giving.

We ask for donations to support our work to promote mental health through Brainspotting, provide educational opportunities for members, and through our Scholarship Treatment Fund, we pay for Brainspotting therapy for individuals who do not have health insurance or the means to pay for therapy.

Asuna Osako, LCSW, RDT

Welcome! If you’re searching for a therapist who goes beyond traditional talk therapy, you’re in the right place. I specialize in supporting BIPOC, LGBTQIA+ individuals, immigrants, and TCKs (third-culture kids) to navigate and heal the root causes of anxiety and distress. Whether it’s the weight of systemic oppression, workplace stress, past traumas, attachment wounds, or relational challenges, I’m here to walk alongside you. Together, we’ll get to the heart of what’s holding you back so you can reconnect with your authentic self and move forward with clarity and strength.

As a social worker and drama therapist, I draw from a range of methods that honor and engage all parts of the self—mind, body, and spirit. I tailor my approach to each client’s unique needs, integrating insight-oriented talk therapy with embodied modalities such as creative arts, mindfulness-based practices, Brainspotting, inner child healing, somatic approaches, and more. My work is rooted in a justice-oriented, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, and compassion-centered framework.

Clients tell me they feel both warmly supported and gently challenged, experiencing profound shifts in a safe, compassionate space. I’m inspired by the Japanese art of kintsugi, which teaches that even in brokenness, there’s beauty. Through repair, we become whole again, in ways we never imagined. I’m also bilingual in Japanese and English and can provide services in both languages.

If you’re ready to dive deeper into your healing journey and uncover the root causes of your pain, let’s connect. I would be honored to guide and support you.
