“Brainspotting the Mother Wound: Reclaiming What Was Lost” with Jennifer Delaney, MA, LPC
In this Brown Bag Seminar, you will learn about the five phases of recovery that individuals pass through as they are recovering from parental wounding. While the set up and process for this type of wounding is traditional, Jen will teach you about phrase patterning – a good way to activate an access point when the client has calmed. Jen will explain how love remains outside a client’s window of tolerance, and will give you tools, such as emotional mapping, to help them slowly integrate the experience of love. A complementary and informative deck will explain how the mother wound is defined, referencing books on the topic and detailing the symptoms and effects of parental wounding.
A licensed professional counselor, Jennifer Delaney speaks regularly to local and international organizations, most recently interviewed on the Students of Mind podcast. She treats the effects of trauma related to parental wounding and runs the Parental Wounds Workshop several times a year. A Reiki-master and writer, she maintains an engaging and informative channel on Youtube and a blog at jenniferdelaney.com. Jen believes that if more people develop the neural networks to accept and resonate with love, our species might be around longer.
