“Using Brainspotting With Clients Who Have Been Impacted By Stalking” with Kymberly Stephens, MS, LPC, CCTP-II

November 20, 2026 from 12-1:30 pm Mountain Time

Recording Available; CEs Pending

This webinar will introduce the viewer to various types of stalking and the psychological impact on those who experience it as the recipient. We will look at how our culture and media reinforce stalking behaviors and explore how to view clients’ behaviors and symptoms as adaptive, rather than pathological. The presenter will discuss why Brainspotting is effective with this population and will explore additional resources and modalities that integrate well with Brainspotting sessions.

After watching this webinar, the viewer will be able to:

1. Describe the defining characteristics and behaviors associated with stalking.

2. Differentiate among the different types of stalkers based on their defining characteristics and behaviors.

3. Compare and contrast Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder and Ongoing Traumatic Stress Response through the neuroexperiential model lens

4. Identify the psychological consequences for targets of stalking and how to integrate the fundamentals of Brainspotting to make treatment more effective for those targeted by stalking.
