About the Presenters:
Dr. Roby Abeles is a distinguished trauma and addiction therapist with more than 40 years of experience, recognised for her compassionate and integrative approach.
Even though she failed her final year of high school due to undiagnosed learning disabilities, unrecognised trauma, emotional neglect and autism, Dr Roby went on to successfully complete a Doctorate (PsyD) in Clinical Psychology, dual Master’s degrees in Counselling Psychology and Spiritual Psychology, [for which she was awarded Student of the Year in 1996], to add to a Bachelor’s in Chemical Dependency Counselling, 1989.
Dr. Roby brings a unique perspective, lived experience and deep commitment to her work, empowering individuals and professionals alike to foster healing and understanding.
She co-founded Brainspotting Humanitarian training in Oceania with USA BSP Trainer Brooke Randolph.
Carolyn Robistow helps therapists and healers cut their work week in half by using a 1:Many offer like group psychotherapy or group coaching. As an LPC, she specializes in clinical anxiety and obsessive compulsive disorder, and uses Brainspotting more often than her former Kindergarten students used the water fountain as a playground.
Carolyn eats, sleeps, and breathes brainspotting and group work, so good luck getting her to stay quiet about it.
She earned her B.S. in Early Childhood Education in 2001 at Texas A&M University, her M.S. in Counselor Education in 2014 at St. Thomas University, and runs both her private practice and her coaching and consulting business from the deck of her boat Valhalla where she lives nomadically with her husband, Mike.
