Ashley Seeger, LCSW
Hello, I am thrilled that you are learning more about this wonderful modality for transformation. My name is Ashley and I have been providing therapy with couples and individuals since 1999. I help couple learn to create lasting connections that can truly last a lifetime – and my focus with individuals has been on helping them to break away from toxic or narcissistic relationships. These toxic relationships can be with sports coaches, partners, bosses or family members. One profound tool I have discovered for overcoming past trauma is Brainspotting.
My style is active, collaborative, and compassionate. I focus on educating clients about recent scientific studies and findings. My approach is client-centered and eclectic with a focus on mindfulness. This means that I incorporate various methods and techniques that fit with your personal needs and style to help you quickly achieve your goals. I am passionate about helping people understand the logic of their emotions and teaching them how to tolerate these seemingly intolerable feelings. After I obtained my BS from Colgate University, I received my MSW from Catholic University. I studied extensively with the Institute of Contemporary Psychotherapy and Psychoanalysis in Washington, DC – focusing on Self Psychology and its application with both individuals and couples. I have also been trained in trauma counseling – to be a provider for Critical Incident Stress Debriefings (CISD’s) where I go on-site to help survivors.
Please contact me for a free 20-minute consultation so we can see if I am the right fit for what you need. I look forward to meeting you.
