Practice current Brainspotting frame set ups and learn other suggestions that clients can practice immediately before and/or while driving when they are dealing with driving fears. Learn how PTSD can trigger or exacerbate CPTSD and how to address this.
I have treated victims of car accidents and PTSD (as well as people who struggle with the mother wound and CPTSD) for over 13 years, and I look forward to sharing that information with you. Observe a demo and engage in practicum, supported by a manual, the experiential exercises and an informative deck. The slides reference the latest research on the topic.
Participants will be able to:
- Distinguish between PTSD and CPTSD
- Explain the benefits of vagus nerve stimulation
- List mindfulness and vagus nerve exercises
- Demonstrate Brainspotting methods to work with MVA & PTSD.
A trauma therapist and certified Brainspotting consultant, Jen Delaney maintains a weekly blog and YouTube channel helping clients with the mother wound plumb their shadow and reclaim wonder. A presenter at both International Brainspotting Conferences, Jen facilitates the Brainspotting Specialty Workshops: Working with Car Accidents & PTSD and the Brainspotting Attachment Specialty Workshop, which draws from a psychoeducation group she has led for years. In addition to her clinical work, she is the author of Stranger to Myself, a psychological and supernatural novel available online. Her work is guided by the belief that cultivating the neural capacity to accept and resonate with love is essential to the survival and evolution of humanity.
