Danielle Dougherty, LCSW

People who seek my help are often navigating dating, relationships, and social anxiety — wanting real connection but getting stuck in habits of overthinking, self-doubt, or putting others first.  Together, we bring awareness to these patterns and create steadier, more genuine ways of relating.

Many of my clients come to therapy in the wake of divorce— seeking to make sense of change, reconnect with their own direction, and feel ready for new beginnings.  I help people stay connected to their vision for their lives, especially when there’s a painful gap between what they long for and what their current circumstances allow.

In my work with therapists, I use Brainspotting to explore limbic countertransference and the emotional demands of our profession. This process deepens self-awareness and helps maintain both resilience and meaning in clinical practice.
