Annika West, Somatic Therapist PSIP
I provide a personalized approach to working somatic therapy with or without medicine. Creating an experience that allows you to dive deeply into your body and subconscious, releasing old patterns that no longer serve you.
Pulling from over 20 years of experience in mind-body modalities, trained in PSIP, IFS, NeuroPhysical Reprograming (NPR), Hakomi, Trauma Dynamics, Yoga Nidra, Avatar Technique and Reiki. I first got introduced to psychedelic therapy early on in the MAPS clinical trial for MDMA, then later in a pilot study in Amsterdam using cannabis and psilocybin. Then certified in PSIP, Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy.
Psychedelic Somatic Interactional Psychotherapy (PSIP) is a highly relational, highly experiential, embodied therapy model specifically designed to pair with and amplify the remarkably powerful organic healing tendencies that live in the unconscious mind and body. There are homeostatic, self corrective mechanisms that are part of our biology that become far more active and far more accessible when we enter altered states of consciousness. These processes take a felt sense, autonomic nervous system pathway and know exactly how to work with unresolved traumatic material.
The emphasis of PSIP is on the interventions, the process, the therapeutic relationship, and the psychobiological pathways that transform low doses of ketamine and cannabis into such potent facilitators of healing. This modality also works without any medicine.
I’m passionate about helping others and honored to guide you to explore which medicines or modalities are right for you.
